Keep Calm and Carry On – D-Day Commemorative Cushion

Another pair of vintage Tea Towels that seemed to form a natural alliance. This time the iconic “Keep Calm and Carry On” motif designed by the Ministry Of Information during the Second World War. White text on a red background.
Side two depicts OPERATION OVERLORD, the codename for the Battle of Normandy, and the Normandy Landings (commonly known as D-Day). It features maps of the South of England, movement of troops across the Channel to France, soldiers, emblems, planes and even a picture of the first house in Occupied France to be liberated.
